We are committed to offering completely free and fully accessible opportunities,
empowering everyone to create and enjoy brilliant new plays. Each year we help 3,000 first-
time playwrights and disadvantaged young people to become produced and published
writers or progress with dramaturgy, training and grants, as well as staging/touring award-
winning world premieres for audiences nationwide.

Our discoveries have won BAFTAs, Olivier, Critics’ Circle, OffWestEnd, Alfred Fagon and
South Bank Sky Arts awards. Coming from often overlooked communities including low
incomes, pupil referral units or refugee and carer groups, they might never have had a
chance but for Papatango.
