Katie Schofield
About Me: Katie is a proud neurodiverse, disabled working-class writer and actor. She is both a screenwriter and playwright whose work often explores far-reaching issues within intimate settings. She has written for BBC Sounds and CBBC, including an episode of Malory Towers for King Bert Productions. She has been longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize, RSC 37 Plays, Theatre Uncut Political Playwriting Award and Theatre 503's International Playwriting Award. Katie was a finalist for the ETPEP Award in association with The Finborough Theatre with her debut play. She was a top ten applicant in the Northern SISTER Breakthrough Writers' Scheme, with an original pitch idea and is a proud Royal Court Playwriting Group alumni. Katie is thrilled to have been working with Tall Story Pictures this year alongside ITV's Disabled Writers' In Development Scheme.
