About me

Yasmine Dankwah is a British-Ghanaian neurodivergent spoken word poet, writer and sound designer. Born based and raised in South London her work is embedded in nostalgia, lyricism and love of music to explore how her characters, often from Black and Brown communities can be centred in silly, music-led, and joyful narratives. She is currently an artist on Boundless Theatre’s Accelerator Programme and is a part of Bush Theatre’s Emerging Writer’s Group. She was also a Roundhouse Poetry Slam Finalist.
