I'm a Northern writer and creative director running Bluestocking Theatre. My work centres around the female experience rooted in great storytelling. I love creating work that delights an audience, that causes them to lose themselves in the story playing out, to change their worldview with a punch in one hand and a kiss in the other. I like to make them laugh since when we relax our guards and drop the mask, we can allow ourselves to open enough to be changed. I like to remind them to not take themselves too seriously. My work has mainly been performed in Manchester at venues like Hope Mill Theatre, The Contact Theatre and I had my first micro commission last year with Emerson & Ward Productions at Derby Theatre. I have several projects in development currently; BEAST, a a full length play, WORKERS, a TV pilot and The Stars, They Watched Us, a short play to be produced by Girl Gang MCR this month.
