About me
I am a playwright and actor from the East of England, with a particular interest in climate crisis theatre and the intersection between misogyny and tech. My first professional prize was awarded by Bloomsbury Festival for Best New Play 2024, leading to a WIP production of 'Attempts on a Birch Tree', a climate crisis romcom which asks the audience to fall in love with a birch tree onstage. I have been commissioned by Macready Theatre, exploring human/nonhuman relationships in the play '3 COUPLES, 2 BREAKUPS, 1 BARBIE & THE BERLIN WALL'. In 2024, Theatre Deli offered my theatre company, I AM I AM, a space to develop 'Ordinary Sex', a thriller in which a couple, Alice and Owen, begin to receive anonymous messages accusing Owen of rape. This led to an invitation to join the Royal Court Intro to Playwright Group 2025, followed by an opportunity to develop both an adaptation of Ibsen’s ‘Little Eyolf’ and a new pacy, political play, ‘ARE YOU WATCHING?’ on sex and tech at Omnibus Theatre.
