About me

As an actor, writer, director and facilitator, my creative practice is all over the map, but the unifying factor is my interest in bringing the audience into “the circle,” to make them aware of the give and take between them and the performer(s). Drawing from my training in Commedia dell’Arte and other clown disciplines, “the circle” often involves utilizing improvisation, audience interaction, and comedy to create a sense of togetherness. The horror story I am developing now, Cascadia, is a sinister spin on that theme: being in “the circle” means being together with things that may mean you harm.
In my decade of professional experience, I have worked with organizations such as Black Box Acting, the House Theatre of Chicago, A Red Orchid Theatre, 500 Clown, The Seattle Children’s Theatre, Next Door But One Community Arts Collective, Four Wheel Drive Theatre, York Theatre Royal, Red Ladder Theatre Company, and Leeds Playhouse.
Originally hailing from the US, I moved to the UK in 2021 to get my Master’s in Theatre-making from the University of York and have remained in York ever since.
