About me

Tayla is an Actor & Writer who trained at Manchester School of Theatre. In 2019 she won The Derek Award for 'Best individual Performance' playing Mary in  ‘Genesis: The Mary Shelley Play’ at Edinburgh Fringe, and in 2023, 'Best Performance' for FLUFF at Birmingham Fringe Fest. Tayla was selected as an Emerging Artist for Hay Festival 2024.
Her play FLUFF—which she performs and co-wrote—will embark on a UK tour from February to April 2025, coinciding with the publication of the play text by Playdead Press. The production has already earned acclaim, being awarded 'Best Piece' by Brum Fest and 'Best Theatre Production' at the Buxton Fringe, alongside four and five star reviews.
Tayla's poem, Whispers of a Stepmother, will also be published with a selection of Motherhood pieces in spring 2025 by Motherhood Uncensored.
Tayla is currently developing her new play Tell Me Where It Hurts- which is supported by The PMDD Project & Watford Council.
