Reviews:
'A challenging, interesting piece of work' - Bush Theatre Literary Team
'This is a monologue from the character of an abusive mother, who clearly regrets some of the abuse to her only child, but is also still filled with such rage, violence and denial over the seriousness of her actions. The writing is intense and the voice of the mother is well-realized, as well as the extensive detail of her family, her own father's physical abuse towards herself, her mother and siblings. It is not an easy read, in terms of the heaviness of subject matter and the flawed character of the mother, who at times acknowledges the severity of the abuse, but also cannot understand how or why her daughter could cut contact for over a decade.' - Theatre503 Literary Team
'A Mother’s Monologue is a gripping new play and a fantastic piece of writing from a
talented playwright. The reader/audience is taken on an absorbing journey that is
sure to move and provoke thought in equal measure.' - Broken Silence Theatre Literary Team
