About me

Irish born, London based, I am a writer, director and theatre maker who trained at The
Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

I have directed large-scale ensemble pieces, community theatre, youth theatre, children’s theatre and more intimate new writing pieces
that explore themes and stories of the underrepresented, the misunderstood and the
disenfranchised.

I have written five plays for adult audiences and over twenty original works along with adaptations for children.

I also work as a Drama Facilitator at Sylvia Young
Theatre School, and as a coach/ creative support with autistic and learning-disabled artists
at Access All Areas Productions.
I’ve also developed and performed in a sensory shoe at the Royal Albert Hall.

Theatre Directing Credits include: A Little Bit of Glitter in the Grey, Rose Bruford, Bigot, for Unshaded Arts at Camden People’s Theatre; short pieces at Lion and Unicorn and The Bunker Theatre; Home and Refuge (also written by me) for Guildford School of Acting; The Bower Wall (Druid, Galway); Betrayal (Trident Theatre Galway); In High Germany, (The Lion and Unicorn) ; Never Talk to Strangers (Galway Fringe Festival) ; More Light and Taking Breath (Galway Youth Theatre for Galway Arts
Festival) and Bench, the Political Years along with Stained (RCCD)

I worked as an assistant director on Death and the Ploughman (Gate Theatre, London) Sweeney Todd (RCSSD) The Original Night of Francis Fahy (Town Hall Theatre, Galway) Macbeth (Nuns Island Theatre, Galway) Living With Frank (Melted Sand, Galway).

I regularly work as a Creative Enabler for Access All Areas Productions, and provided
coaching services to autistic actors who performed in Jitney (Leeds Playhouse with a transfer to The Old Vic Theatre) and The Darkest Part of the Night (The Kiln Theatre). I appeared as a
performer/Creative Enabler in Access All Areas last pre-COVID show UnReal City. This was a
joint production between Access All Areas and DreamThinkSpeak for Battersea Arts Centre,
London.

Film Directing Credits include: 11 short films, which I also wrote, (in association with The Oliver McGowan Trust,
MenCap, National Autistic Society, Skills for Care and Health Education England) that were rolled out across the NHS as part of a world-first effort to provide mandatory
training to all staff in an effort to combat unconscious bias towards patients/clients with learning disabilities and/or autism.

I also directed a series of short films made via Zoom for The Director’s Cut (SeaHer by Rosa Torr, Growing Pains by Kieran Rogers, Parasocial by Grace Howarth).

When not working in theatre or film, I am a big fan of stop-Mmotion animation and I’m
currently working on a project of my own. I paint when I have time and I love to volunteer
on creative projects at Art in the Park in South East London.
