Sara is a writer based in Hertfordshire. Born in Greece and bred in Spain, she moved to London at eighteen in pursuit of her dream to become an award winning screenwriter. Reality however had other plans. London chewed her up and spat her out, endowing her with self-deprecating despair. Unable to draw a stick figure she somehow graduated Goldsmiths University of London, with a first in animation. This would later lead her into advertising. After producing an inhumane amount of insurance adverts she decided to U-Turn to her original hope: becoming a screenwriter. Securing a job as a post-production coordinator she found the balance between writing and paying the bills while taking in the world which is post. After years of reading and writing scripts in the shadows she discovered that her frontal lobe, which she had rendered useless years ago was in fact still brimming with joy and ideas. Mustering the confidence she secured a spot at the NFTS certificate, Screenwriting Finding Your Voice led by Paul Fraser, where she’s currently developing her next feature—The Kentucky Mare.
