I am an actor, writer and parent of twins from Newcastle upon Tyne. I have many years of experience in the creative arts sector including 15 years of professional acting experience on stage and screen. I am developing my skills as a writer with the goal of becoming a professional screenwriter for film and television. I have received mentorship/guidance from and maintain a relationship with - Bonafide Productions, New Writing North, Channel 4, BBC Writers Room North East Voices, BFI Film Hub North, North East Screen and South of the River Productions. I also teach drama and creative writing workshops on a casual basis.

I have written short plays that have been produced professionally at Live Theatre, Alphabetti Theatre and The Exchange in Newcastle. My debut short play Elliot was nominated for the Emerge Creative Writing Prize in 2018. My first full length play, Last Seen, Bensham Road debuted at Live Theatre’s Elevator Festival, March 2020. I wrote and performed the piece as well as securing arts council funding for the project. In 2020, I won the New Writing North - Channel 4 Writing for Television Award to develop a pilot idea with Bonafide Productions. In 2022, Bonafide productions and Channel 4 commissioned the development of my pilot script into a 6- episode original drama. In 2024 I was commissioned by Montpellier Productions and Eight Zero Three Media to write an original series outline and show bible for Funicular - a supernatural crime drama based on the novel by T F Lince. In 2024 I was awarded the New Writing North Creative Associate role and Tyneside Cinema Screenwriter in Residence to write and develop my first feature film script, Baby Boy.
