About me

Hello! I'm a playwright and theatre director from Dorset. Since graduating from Birkbeck with an MFA in Theatre Directing, I have worked across the UK. I'm the Artistic Director of Dorsetborn, an associate company of National Youth Theatre. The company enables me to create new plays for new audiences. Our recent production, 'Fort' by Tabitha Hayward, received ACE funding to tour the South West in Autumn 2024 before a run at Theatre 503 in January 2025.

As a writer, I was commissioned by Artful Scribe and MAST Mayflower Studios to create 'Destroy the Precious Things' for MAST's young company. This play, about climate protest, premiered in July 2024. I've also written 'PRIDE' (alongside Naomi Denny) and 'Georgia and the Iceberg' for Dorsetborn.

My other works-in-progress include 'Getting Closer', which underwent an R&D with MAST Studios in 2025, and has also received support from Masterclass and Poole Lighthouse. I was selected for Channel 4's inaugural West/South West England New Writers Scheme, as well as Mercury Theatre Colchester's Playwrights Programme.

I'm always excited to meet other writers and theatremakers who are interested in exploring knotty, contradictory themes. My favourite writers are Caryl Churchill and Aaron Sorkin - I love the sound of language and the power of imagery and debate onstage.
