Rene has recently given up her 20-year career dedicated to improve the lives f children and young people as a project officer in the public sector/local government and is re-emerging as an artist through her love of creativity, performance, writing, directing and producing.
Rene was recently been selected to participate in a collaborative Lab/Residency for disabled artists from the Global Majority at the Bristol Old Vic in March 2025 created by Disability Led Theatre Company – Vital Xposure.
She was selected as one of fifteen global majority artists from the whole of the South West to complete a 6 week fully funded mentorship programme/incubator created by The Black South West Network and West of England Combined Authority.
