Mistress/Wife

Synopsis:

Mistress/Wife is a searing two-hander that unfolds in the aftermath of an exposed affair, but in this charged, real-time confrontation, the truth isn’t just revealed - it’s reckoned with.
In a small kitchen on an ordinary day, two women meet for the first time: ‘Wife’, whose world has just imploded, and ‘Mistress’, who helped shatter it. What begins as a simple search for answers turns into something far deeper; a confrontation about guilt, complicity, power, and the cost of silence in a patriarchal world.
In Mistress/Wife, archetypal conflict is turned on its head. As the real story begins to unravel, so too do the roles society has forced these women to play. ‘Mistress’, haunted by what she knows and what she couldn’t save herself from, must name and face the trauma she buried. ‘Wife’, clinging desperately to the illusion she has built her life on, must confront the piercing truth of who her partner really is.
Set over a single conversation, Mistress/Wife is about the weight of what we don’t say, the lies we tell ourselves to survive, and what happens when two women dare to look the truth in the eye — and then each other.
