Lady Katherine Gordon


Synopsis:

Lady Katherine Gordon, a beautiful Scottish noblewoman, marries a man who claims to be Prince Richard, Duke of York, one of the Princes in The Tower, his story being that he escaped the fate of his elder brother, Edward, murdered by assassins sent by King Richard III. However, the man is in fact Perkin Warbeck, an imposter, a commoner actually born in Flanders, Belgium, who was trained by the Yorkist faction in Cork, to imitate the man Prince Richard might have grown up to be, but who was murdered as a boy at the age of nine, along with Edward.

The Hole


Synopsis:

Two bums, Bill and Craig, live in a side alley, but Bill wants to move to the country, to help him achieve peace pf mind. They go on a journey where they encounter Ed and Diane, who sneer at them. Bill and Craig are told to move on by a cop.

Bill tries to dig a hole near a tree, to be his grave, but he fails as Craig forces him to fill in the hole.

The Judge's Daughter


Synopsis:

Florio, a judge in courts of law, has an incestuous obsession with his beautiful daughter, Emilia. He tries to have her married, and the best suitor seems to be Constantine, who is in fact a woman, Constanza, disguised as a man. Florio tries to satisfy his passion for Emilia with a prostitute, but still desires his daughter. On their wedding night, Constantine is revealed as being a woman, but Emilia decides she loves the person, not the sex (gender).

The Peasants' Revolt


Synopsis:

Wat Tyler leads the Peasants' Revolt against the Poll Tax, and the suffering of the peasants under vassalage. Wat meets King Richard II, who pretends to give in the the peasants' demands and grant them a charter, but this is rescinded once Wat is captured and killed. King Richard later denounces John Ball, a radical preacher, and Jack Straw, other leaders of the revolt, who are then executed for treason.

The Poetic Soul


Synopsis:

A pair of tramps are invited into the house of a rich woman on the grounds that they display their "poetic soul" and begin to create poetry, according to her sensibilities; but she eventually rejects them, because they are insufficiently poetical for her liking, and she throws them back onto the streets, but they are infected with the idea of being poetic, and this makes them less able to deal with being homeless, so they find someone who is worse off than them, a single man living on the streets.

Synopsis:

John wishes to gain sympathy when telling the story of his life to actors Tom and Jean, as the Writer and the Director of the play of John's life come onto the stage and interfere, saying John's account is too incoherent, and he has to admit he has suffered "Too Much Damage".
