About me
Nicky topped the British Animation Film Festival’s Lottie Reiniger List for scripts of outstanding achievement, winning Best Screenplay. She is a previous overall winner of Pint-Sized Plays and Short+Sweet Theatre, a winner of the TakeTen Chesil Theatre New Writing Festival, and a finalist in festivals including the Snowdance® 10-Minute Comedy Festival, INK Festival, Short+Sweet Theatre Sydney and Short+Sweet Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Further playwriting accolades include being shortlisted for the British Theatre Challenge and longlisted for the Kenneth Branagh Award for New Drama Writing. For screenwriting, she is a 3X ScreenCraft Quarterfinalist (Animation Screenplay, Animation & Family & Stage Play), 2X Semi-Finalist for the Annual Fade In Awards (Sci-Fi & Short Script), Finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, and Best Script winner in the Animotion Film Festival.
Nicky’s work has featured on BBC radio and Coverfly’s industry RED LIST, at the Edinburgh Fringe and Latitude Festival, and in the books Pint-Sized Plays Volume 5, Best Ten Minute Plays of 2019 (published in the US by Smith & Kraus), and Stage It! Volume 6.
