Nia Powell was born in the South West and comes from Welsh heritage. She graduated from ALRA, The Academy of Live and Recorded Art on the BA Acting programme. Previously completing a foundation course at READ Dance and Theatre College and successfully completed the National Youth Film Academy summer course and Young Pleasance. Nia has recently completed a Writing for Performance/Dramaturgy MA at Goldsmiths and the Pentabus, Minack and Paines Plough writing programmes. She has also been commissioned to write work in the South West at the Landmark Theatres and the Theatre Royal.
