About me
Hi, I’m Nancy, a British Arab playwright of North African heritage based in London. I’ve written two plays so far.
The first is about a British Arab family navigating their daughter’s mental health breakdown and the impact this has on the relationship between two sisters. The play deals with cultural stigma towards mental health in the Arab community and explores themes of identity around being the child of Arab immigrants in the UK.
The second play is about the changing nature of a female friendship group in their mid thirties as each of the characters enters a new chapter of life, and explores themes of motherhood, pregnancy and relationships, along with the challenges these bring and the impact they have on friendship circles.
Please feel free to get in touch if either of these plays sound interesting or if you’d just like to chat about writing in general. I’d love to connect!
