About me

I am an early career working-class playwright with experience working on self-produced fringe/pub theatre shows, as well as participating in new-writing festivals as part of the Bread and Roses Theatre. I specialise in New, Queer, and Working-Class Theatre, and have a love for telling stories about those who are often less heard. I like to utilise new techniques as part of my writing, experimenting with form and structure.

I trained at Brunel University, getting a 1st in BA Theatre (Hons), writing my first original play for my final assessment during COVID. This is where my passion for storytelling grew, and I continue to develop new stories and ideas on a daily basis.

Produced shows:

Desperate Times, Lion and Unicorn Theatre (2023)

Desperate Times

Synopsis:

Desperate Times follows the life of an anonymous young queer man as he struggles to find
his feet in his farming-focused hometown. After an incident involving a bully, he realises
there is more to life than his family’s farm and follows a newly made friend into the city for
a night of fun and self-discovery. He soon discovers the world is far more complicated and
intertwined with strangers and secrets. Once the truth is discovered, he sets out on finding a
new life for himself.
