About me
I studied script writing and radio drama as part of my Performance and Media Degree at the University of Glamorgan, now the University of South Wales. After graduating, I got a place on the Channel Four Production Training Scheme, known at the time as Open 4. The scheme was run in collaboration with Think Bigger and was designed to help those from diverse backgrounds step into factual television production. During my television career, I was lucky to meet many wonderful contributors and TV professionals who inspired me. I am a huge animal lover, and one of my highlights was working on Channel 4’s Animal Rescue Live with Noel Fitzpatrick, the Supervet, where we attempted to get all animals adopted from a shelter in Newcastle.
After the pandemic, my career took a different direction, and I had the privilege of working in education, organising events to inspire young people across the UK. Now, I have one of my favourite jobs, working as a dog walker. So far, my career has taken me to places other people could only dream of, from watching surgeons perform surgery in operating theatres to organising a Robotics Competition in an Air Hangar at an RAF base. I am unbelievably blessed and have so many exciting experiences that inspire my writing.
Songwriting and storytelling have always been my way of celebrating our shared humanity or exploring its darker corners. Whether it’s crafting adventures brimming with humour and magic or weaving tales with emotional depth and shadow, my writing focuses on characters you love and those you love to hate, all brought to life to inspire thought, courage, and curiosity.
