One Perfect Day | Un día perfecto is a hilarious portrait of a family in crisis on a big wedding day. Expertly crafted family chaos wonderfully realized through the much loved genre of the telenovela. Alba and Evan think they’re getting the picture perfect Colombian wedding but when the groom is swapped with an evil twin by a long lost sister bent on revenge, the special day falls into chaos, testing the family’s strength. The play is full of humour and heart; It’s a joyous and mischievous marriage between Colombian wedding traditions, the telenovela genre and the ceremony of attending the theatre. Written for a cast of seven, the script provides opportunities for Latine BIPOC and women to take on playful, complex roles. The project centers these communities’ joy, laughter and escapism. 

After a friend break-up, an obsessive young woman desperately searching for the magic secret to be beautiful and young forever, unwittingly makes a supernatural deal where she must now share her body with a murderous, blood-thirsty witch.
