About me
Llyrio Boateng is a writer, director, actor, model, and former professional dancer. He trained at the Young Vic and participated in its ‘Springboard’ and ‘Fresh Direction’ programmes for Directors.
As a writer, Llyrio has been part of the Southwark Playhouse ‘Black Writers’ Collective’, Theatre Peckham’s ‘Rye-ting Group’, and the 2025 British Black Book Festival writers’ programme. He directed Church Girl at Theatre503, Jon & Dave at Southwark Playhouse, Frontline at Riverside Studios, and the radio drama My Mother Must’ve Heard It, Too on Spotify & Apple Music. In 2021, he joined the BAFTA Crew Cohort.
