About me

I am a Plymouth based writer. I’ve had three full-length plays staged: Labyrinth Diet at The Space in 2021 which won an OFFCOMM award; Breathless in 2022 which was awarded the Pleasance Regional Partnership, won a Fringe First and was shortlisted for other prizes. The show then went to Soho Theatre and 59e59 Off-Broadway in 2023, where it was New York Times critic’s pick and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. I took my play Lynn Faces to the Fringe in 2024 where it won the Birds of Paradise Exceptional Theatre Award. Lynn Faces is touring in 2025. I co-wrote and directed Ciderella at the Barbican Theatre Plymouth and was Artistic Associate at the venue in 2024.

My first short film, A Summer of Birds, was Toast of the Fringe winner in 2021, I adapted it into a 25-minute play for the Northcott Theatre’s Elevate festival in 2024 and hope to continue working on it in 2025. I launched digital campaign Theatre Stories in 2020 to highlight positive community engagement stories, it was listed in The Stage 100. I was the first playwright Laureate of Plymouth from 2021-23, completing commissions and workshops in the city. I am developing dark comedy, Life Underwater, which had was selected for a reading at the Criterion Theatre. In 2023 I was on the BBC Voices programme. I also run Bad Sex Writing workshops and shows. I am represented by United Agents.
