About me

The Waiting Room is a contemporary, ensemble piece using one set. In March, it was produced at the theatre. It's hard to describe what it's about without spoilers. However, basically, it's a thought-provoking mystery about a group of strangers who find themselves at a deserted train station. As time passes, they realise that none of them can remember where they've been or where they are going. As I suspected, a lot of the audience caught on to what was going on in the first act. But this isn't what it's really about, hence the tagline: Think you know what's going on? Think again.

The Waiting Room is still being talked about and discussed weeks after it's premiere. As far as I'm aware, there's never been anything like it done before. It had audiences on the edge of their seats as each moment revealed yet another unexpected twist or turn.

Reviews:

I was impressed by the play’s structure. The revelations were paced very effectively to build suspense. Each time the audience caught up, there would be another twist, with the powerful, final one saved till the very end.

Well worth a trip down from Scotland. Had read the reviews prior to Friday evening and it lived up to expectations. It was faultless.

Absolutely superb storyline. Had us all guessing! I urge you to see it!! Well down to the writer/director. Top job!

Went Thursday night, almost a full house. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and it kept us guessing right up to the end. Weird but wonderful production.
