Katherine Hayes is a screenwriter and theatre director with extensive experience in both fields.

The script covers the First World War experience of writer Edith Wharton as she stays in France to fight against the invasion. 
The Fastest Girl in the World was a finalist in the Athena Film Festival Athena List in 2019. Now a series concept, the pilot for The Fastest Girl in the World won the Bull City International Festival in 2023.
In 2016, her screenplay The Little Buccaneer was a finalist in the Best Drama, Best Concept, and Global Film Selection categories at the Oaxaca Film Festival, one of MovieMaker Magazine's Top 50 Festivals. From 2005 to 2009, she was the Artistic Director of ek!productions theatre company. She also served as a screenwriter for a National Film and Television School project, collaborating with final-year developer students. Her goals are to gain experience, collaborate and get her first feature film into production. The Woman in the Tower will be her first feature film. She continues to work regularly as a theatre director and dramaturg.
