About me

I'm a Singaporean theatremaker based in London. I work primarily as a playwright and director but am also interested in the intersection between performance and moving image.

My work looks at the process of art-making itself and the role of the artist both in society and the creation of the idea of the self. I am also interested in how we talk about memory and particularly, how language interacts with memory, either blocking or giving access to communal, familial, and personal memories.

My work has been performed at scratch nights (Centre42xSIFA, Voila! Theatre Festival at the Cockpit) in both Singapore and London, and at UCL, where I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree. In 2023 I placed second in the Youth category of T:>works (Singapore) 24h Playwriting Competition with my play "Buy My House" and in 2024, my play "Falling Off a Cliff into Nothingness" was produced as part of the Etcetera Theatre Camden's Indie Artists' Summer Festival.
