About me

I trained as an actor at LAMDA, graduating in 2011.

I began writing plays in 2014. My first play was a monologue based on real events set in the Fens of East Anglia. "The Common Land" won the BBC Writersroom 2008, was selected "Pick of the Fringe" at Brighton Fringe and won "Best of the Fest" after running at the Rose Theatre Kingston during the International Youth Arts Festival.

I specialise in adaptation ("God's Own Country," 2014, "Fever Pitch," 2021, "The Fox," Unproduced), Queer theatre ("Divas," 2015, "Sugar Coat," 2023) and political theatre ("Cutting The Tightrope," 2024, "In Another Life," Unproduced).

I am co-Artistic Director of Bet'n Lev Theatre alongside Roann Hassani McCloskey with whom I co-write new work. Our, as yet unproduced play "In Another Life" is a comic tragedy about missed opportunities and the engagement of a gay Muslim and Jew.

Additionally, alongside songwriter Lilly Pollard I write musicals/plays with songs. Our unproduced second musical (following 2023's Pop-punk feminist gig theatre show Sugar Coat) is a book musical about a woman falling in love and ignoring red flags.
