My Plays

Pressure Cooker

Synopsis:

The champagne has barely fizzled out from the med school grad ball when four final-year medical students find themselves in a nightmare of their own making. A hazing ritual gone awry leaves a first-year student unconscious in their flat—and with no time, no supervision, and everything to lose, they decide to take matters into their own hands. The kettle whistles. The lights snap on. A kitchen becomes an operating theatre.

As the night spirals, alcohol and buried tensions begin to cloud their judgment. Diagnoses clash, egos flare, and the boundary between care and chaos starts to blur. Under the fluorescent lights and lines of cocaine, the group is forced to confront not only the failing body on their table, but the damage they’ve done to each other.
