About me

Writing has always been a part of my life and the way in which I make sense of the world. Until two years ago, this was predominantly through prose. I have since made the transition to dramatic writing through my love of and aptitude for realistic, fast-paced dialogue. I have written three full-length plays, all of which have been performed. I have directed two of my three plays, the second of which (Having The Last Word) enjoyed a five night run at the Oxford Playhouse’s Burton Taylor studio in the 2024 Easter season. In November 2023 my scene entitled (Marnie and Lila) won entrance into a theatrical workshop created by Anna Deavere Smith, who chose my writing to lead an acting and directorial workshop. The ‘Causing-A-Scene’ workshop culminated in a sold out showcase performance, followed by a panel discussion from theatrical experts who analysed the written nuances of each scene.
In the Summer of 2024, I was asked to write the Edinburgh Fringe show for Love Song Productions (Seconds to Midnight) which debuted for a five performance run at Riverside Studios’ Bitesize Festival. The play then enjoyed a month long Edinburgh Fringe run at Pleasance Courtyard, during which it was nominated for Binge Fringe Magazine’s Queer Performers Award and received four four star reviews from Binge Fringe, Three Weeks, The Indiependent and EdFringe Review. I am looking to make the transition from paying to put my work on, to writing in a professional capacity
