About me
Jay Tamames (they/them) is a Spanish scriptwriter currently based in the UK. After acting in various amateur theatre performances and working in independent film production in Madrid, they studied an MA in Scriptwriting at the University of East Anglia. Their writing, though grounded in reality, often adopts fantastical or surreal elements to bring to the forefront questions of hope and humanity. As a queer creator, Jay aims to explore the worlds that emerge in the margins, and aspires to tap into art’s potential to build community. Their short play Lethe was performed at INK Festival 2025.

By the shore of a river, a man and a woman meet. They are confused, their surroundings are hostile, but in their encounter they find a bit of relief.
