About me

I have come to play writing after a career in industry, also completed a Masters in Writing for Performance recently.   I am interested in exploring the intersection of women, work and power.   I started life as a Mathematician, so it's been quite a journey.

What She Did With What She Had

Synopsis:

Elizabeth Jesser Reid (Lizzie) risks her reputation and all her money as she determines to start a college of Higher Education for Women in 1850.

A professor has been invited to lecture to female students at the fledgling college. Though he is lecturing about physics, the professor is known to believe 'you can be good without believing in God'. Appalled at the potential damage to delicate female minds, the might of Victorian Society throws all it can at Lizzie and her colleagues to bring an end to women's education.

A true story!
