About me

I am a script writer for stage and screen based in Bristol with a passion for writing distinctive contemporary stories with bold characters and voices. My work is especially focused on the stories of young South Asian and Mixed Race women in Britain.

I have written three full length plays - In My Country, following three friends after a racist incident on a night out, THE FUTURE IS BEIGE, set in a dystopian Britain where a government makes Mixed Race the norm, and Cancer B*tch!, a one woman play about a young woman recently diagnosed with cancer who is completely definitely okay. The latter received ACE funding for an R&D and performance at Offbeat Festival in Oxford in 2024. Alongside this, I have also written a few short plays including How To Be Brown for Kali Discovery and if we can’t be happy in paradise… which was selected for the first Brown Skinned Girls event in 2025. I have taken part in several writing schemes, including the Channel 4 New Writers Scheme, Kali Discovery, and the North Wall’s Catalyst program. I studied MA Drama Writing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and have a BA in Theatre & Performance Studies from the University of Warwick.
