About me

I recently had a successful rehearsed reading of my debut play, ‘Sheepdog’ at The Hope Theatre, which was read in front of an audience and used for developmental purposes. I have also partaken in the scratch night, ‘Page2Stage’ where I wrote a 10 minute comedy scene and had it staged and performed in a matter of hours.
Last year, I completed my Master’s degree in playwriting at Edinburgh university. While I was there, I wrote three plays, all varying in subject matter from dystopia to comical satire to political drama. I was able to explore challenging issues, making them more palatable using humour and ridiculousness to present communal experiences, with a keen focus on female led stories that emphasise the unheard voice from new and different perspectives.
During my time in Edinburgh, I was also apart of the Traverse Young Writers; a 10 week programme that culminated in a showing of our work at the Traverse.
During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to work with students from a special education and disability needs school in Cornwall where we wrote a show and at the end of the process, they performed the script to the rest of the school.
