About me

After being selected for the BAFTA mentorship scheme I started working as a Producer’s Assistant and Script Reader for UNION PICTURES, where I worked on a number of films including The Stroke (2018) and The Souvenir (2019). I then shifted focus towards my own projects, including award-winning short film SUFUKU (2019), and The Frogs: Recroaked (2019) which enjoyed a week-long run at the former Stockwell Playhouse. In 2021, I was awarded a theatre writing bursary from the Bloomsbury Festival, and as a result wrote and produced darkly comedic play Tipsy, which enjoyed a week-long stint at the Cockpit Theatre in June 2023. I also have a BA in English from Birkbeck College during which I completed a dissertation reassessing the categorisation of Realist theatre, and I recently completed Central's 'Intermediate Playwriting' course. Additionally, I was the producer for a web series, Before We Graduate, which was filmed in Brighton and is currently in post production. Now predominantly focused on writing, I am currently working on two new plays, one comedy and a Gothic tragedy. Alongside my creative projects and academic studies, I have also worked in partnerships for Sky, the National Gallery, the English National Opera and Royal Museums Greenwich.

Tipsy

Synopsis:

Tipsy is an exploration into the mind of an exhausted, professional woman. Maria, an overstretched, overworked young woman, walks into a nail salon to get a manicure after a stressful day at her full-time job. Sounds simple enough, there’s just one problem, this nail salon serves booze. Consumed by her thoughts; and plagued with a feeling that her nail technician hates her, she drinks, and drinks, and drinks; with disastrous consequences.
