H2O

Synopsis:

In H2O, set in the near future, city water supplies have dried up, leaving rural wells as the only source of safe, drinkable water. As power shifts to the countryside, urban dwellers become dependent on rural resources. Nadir, a white-collar worker, clings to the belief that life in the city will return to normal, continuing to work for his boss, Sefa Bey, while his wealthy girlfriend Sibel urges him to leave the city for a new life in the countryside. Meanwhile, Nadir’s rural cousin İrfan rises in influence and reclaims the rural citizenship Nadir was given, leaving him isolated. As resources become scarcer, the struggle for survival forces everyone to confront the new reality.

This rehearsed reading explores themes of power, survival, and societal change, asking what we are willing to sacrifice to hold on to our identities in a world where everything is changing. We invite you to join us for this early exploration of H2O.
