About me

Home | My Site 6

I am a working-class Neurodivergent playwright, dramaturg and theatre arts tutor/practitioner. I hold a PGCE teaching degree, alongside years of experience writing for stage, screen and radio.

My work has been seen on such stages as The Southwark Playhouse, Queens Theatre Hornchurch, Stratford Circus Theatre, The Pleasance, Old Red Lion, Hope Theatre, Applecart Arts, Tristan Bates, Leicester Square Theatre, The Bread & Roses and National Theatre Studios.

The National Theatre, Royal Court and The Bush Theatre have highly praised and encouraged my writing. Alongside my work for stage, I have written pieces for BBC Radio Essex and my writing has been featured in the BBC2 documentary 'The Dark Shadow of Murder'.

I have been part of an ITV mentorship programme and developed a TV pilot that caught the attention of Dancing Ledge Productions (producers of BBC's 'The Responder' with Martin Freeman).

My recent play 'WET CEMENT' has been developed through Arts Council England Funding and is now in it's final draft. Below you will find further information on the development of this play, including links to press and an interview (the below is based on an older draft of the play):

Reviews:

\'A gritty, truthful, and often comical insight into the fractured lives of people who are unemployed and rely on the benefits system in Harold Hill. The characters are complex and distinctive, each with their own idiolect, which helps to explore the varied personalities and their shared, yet individual, plight. This is a compelling story with much potential\'. - Papatango Playwriting Award Feedback 2023
