About me
Caroline Lezny is an American playwright and director based in London, UK. She completed her MFA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Caroline is passionate about feminist retellings and boldly theatrical, challenging contemporary work. She has developed a body of work inspired by social and historical research that includes work for theatre, film, television, and digital production.
Caroline is a member of the Royal Court Theatre's 2025 Introduction to Playwriting Group. Her writing has been shortlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Prize (2023), longlisted for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, and workshopped by the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Theatres including The National Theatre and The Hampstead Theatre have expressed interest in Caroline’s plays. Work has been developed and produced with ChewBoy Productions, Platform Production Company, SwitchMCR, CSSD London, and the University of Notre Dame.
