About me

I’m an English-Australian writer-performer raised in Singapore, currently running the risk of multi-hyphenating myself into oblivion. Recent acting credits include: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Palace Theatre), Cabaret (Lido2Paris), South Pacific (Chichester Festival Theatre), The Boy in the Dress (RSC) and Kiss Me, Kate (Sheffield Crucible).

As a writer, I'm endlessly interested in what happens when people fail. My first full-length play, Drew Gets a Ticket, is a tragicomedy about a mother and daughter who get a parking ticket at a funeral, and unwillingly fall into a battle for the space they so desperately need.

My Plays

Drew Gets a Ticket

Synopsis:

'I couldn’t help myself. It was like when you get into a lift and want to press all the buttons. He was so smug and serious, and then he bent down and I thought “what if I just”....so I did. I slapped it.'

When Sam and Drew get a parking ticket at a funeral, an extraordinary incident sends both women unravelling. Drew Gets a Ticket is a piercingly funny play about mothers and daughters, and what we do with our grief when there isn’t the space for it.

The Starting Line

Synopsis:

Sisters, Frances and Marty, have been in the same crumbly flat working the same crummy jobs for too long. So when they get a chance to apply for a reality show that will send them on a race across the world, they take it. But as they get closer to the starting line, old aches come back to bite them. The Starting Line comedically dissects our need to move forward and the things that threaten to keep us right where we are.
