About me

She/Her, 29. From a young age, Chloe Llewellyn would pick up any play she could find in her small seaside town. Chloe’s non linear, surreal influenced work reflect her preoccupations with folklore, history, children’s literature, surrealism, and sociology. Her work often focuses on forgotten points of view, or time eras on the brink of change. Chloe is autistic and considered disabled. Her orientation is asexual and aromantic. She speaks English and limited French.

Chloe reached the top 15 in Bristol Old Vic's 2020 open Submission Competition. She reached the 2023 quarter final of Titchfield Festival Theatre's new playwrighting Prize. Her work has been read by Free Hand Script reads London, and Exeter Drama Company. She has written several 10 minute plays alongside her main body of work. One is currently under review as a commission for a local library.

Otik, or How Lucy took the Bride\\\'s Veil


Synopsis:

Surreal fairy-tale horror. Inspired by a fairy-tale by Karel Jaromir Erben of a similar name. Young Victorian bride Lucy stumbles into a bizarre trap in a friend\'s house that sends her stumbling from strange encounter to strange encounter. Why is everyone so very nervous about the man she may marry, and is anything even real?

The Cut Glass Pavilion


Synopsis:

1999. Marie, a worker over from Paris to work on London\\\\\\\'s infamous \\\\\\\"millennium dome\\\\\\\" exhibit, loses herself quite literally just before midnight, slipping into an alternate London that reflects her alienation back at her.

Episodic psychological surreal drama. Using a minimal set, and video projections.
