About me
My two plays, Button, a dystopian satire, and Kingdom, a play about an estranged father and son relationship in the context of English nationalism and identity, were staged for two sold-out performances at the White Bear Theatre in 2019, and received four star reviews.
I have recently completed two new full-length plays, one of which deals with the changing and volatile nature of male friendships over twenty years, while the second explores a future utopian society contending with the traumatic memories of the world before - wars, climate change, inequality, want.

Continuous Thunder
Synopsis:
Set across three News Year's Eves, from 2007 to 2022, this play charts the changing and volatile nature of male friendships. Four friends make a tradition to meet up every year for New Years at one of their family homes. Over time the tradition is tested, as friends leave for University, start careers, or stay stuck between bad jobs and substance and mental health issues. The play is an honest and heartfelt exploration of the toxicity and resentments that can exist in male friendships over time, but also the love and support as well - the joy of growing old with people, and the melancholy of letting harmful relationships go.

The Deluge
Synopsis:
In 2075 a utopian society founded on principles of freedom and communitarianism is preparing to celebrate its founding. Three generations are brought together to discuss what freedom means to them, and exchange life experiences of the world before and after the revolution. However, the meeting holds another purpose as the freedom enjoyed by the society is fragile, and its utopian nature is increasingly under question by the young and disaffected.
