I am a Glasgow-based playwright with an interest in stories that examine the various themes that unite people from across all walks of life: grief, desire, frustration, and a hope for something better.

My work has been performed by the Traverse Theatre and Half Light Nights Theatre Company. My play Black Bile was shortlisted for The Bread and Roses Playwriting Award 2023/24.

Synopsis:

Maya is on the edge; she can barely bring herself to leave the house anymore, except to come to her therapy appointments. Ian just wants what's best for her, but as her therapist, lines have to be drawn in the sand.

When Maya's grief begins to overwhelm her, Ian is forced to take action - sparking a dark journey to the root of her problems, that threatens to consume them both.

Synopsis:

It's the day of the general election, and in the country's sleepiest polling station, things are about to get ugly.

Hannah wants today's proceedings to be done by the book. Terry want to launch his own political career. And Kev, a teenager on academic probation who has to write an essay about the democratic process, wants to go home and play video games.

But when a forgotten ballot is found lying on the floor, all hell breaks loose.

Let It Out


Synopsis:

Will has a secret; something he's been keeping locked in the garden shed. Something with teeth. Something that's begging to be let out.

As tensions with his teenage daughter and his estranged brother begin to fray, Will is forced to confront his deepest desires and repressed emotions, leading to a nightmarish encounter with consequences for all.

Let It Out is an exploration of what happens when the skeletons in our closets are finally revealed, and whether they should have been in there to begin with.
