For Arcola Theatre Production:
The play is well paced, very witty and absolutely riveting. You will want to watch it more than once. British Theatre Guide.
This could so easily have been a tale of victimhood. Instead Fox\'s writing gives us the dark laughter of Medusa: you shouldn\\\'t look, but if you do, she can\\\'t be held responsible for the consequences. Exeunt Magazine
In an empowering celebration of the respect that she has gained in place of what youth she may have lost, her bully and her body are drowned in a sea of aged rose petals, an event that changes the meaning of the word \\\'victim\\\' forever... A Younger Theatre
For Edmonton Festival production:
Woman Caught Unaware explores all this in a multi-angled way, surprising and provocative at every turn. Sometimes live theatre just knocks you out the way it can jolt you out of one way of thinking and open up other possibilities. This is one of those times.12th Night
For Devon TheatreFest production:
Annie Fox\'s writing is full of gorgeous language, while Deborah Hadley\'s performance draws the audience in, inviting us to both laugh and cry with her. Seraphina Allard-Bridge, fringetheatrefestblog
