About me

Annie Davison trained as an actor at Drama Centre London and is now making her debut as a playwright. When The Guardian saw Annie in Good Day at Vault Festival they said she gave a “thoroughly winning performance” and The Times praised her “vivid honesty” when working on Anything With a Pulse at the Park Theatre. Her debut piece of writing, her solo show BAIRNS, was shortlisted for the SevenDials SevenfromSeven initiative, and will be performing at the Pleasance Courtyard throughout August this Edinburgh Fringe.

BAIRNS

Synopsis:

Lottie's just made the mother of all promises and needs to grow up. Fast.

She's twenty-something, she's amounted to nothing, and having a belly buddy is sort of ruining her life.

Exploring sisterhood, selfishness, and surrogacy, BAIRNS is part stand-up, part theatre, and 'a wickedly funny piece that speaks to the heart' (A Youngish Perspective).

Written and performed by Annie Davison – 'emerging talent' (Guardian) and 'one to watch' (British Theatre Guide) – BAIRNS is a tender, stretch-marked, and laugh-out-loud funny dramedy that asks how far you'd go for your sibling.
