About me

In 2023 I wrote my first play, ‘EMU’, a monologue about a lonely scientist (‘Highly commended’ by the National Theatre’s script readers). Since then I have completed two more long plays: ‘We Will Always be Dancing’ is about a woman using AI technology to deal with her guilt after the death of her husband (‘an exploration of an interesting subject’ — The Royal Court). My latest play, a dark comedy, asks the question: what will humans do when pushed to the limit? (‘engaging’; ‘some really excellent ideas’; ‘genuinely surprising reveals’ — Theatre 503). My work has been performed at The Golden Goose Theatre, Riverside Studios, The Lion & Unicorn Theatre, Eden Dock, Upstairs at the Ritzy, The Space, The Old Red Lion and The Drayton Arms Theatre. Most recently, my short play Goldfish featured in Cellar Door Theatre’s Fresh Shoots scratch night and my short play Unfathomable was performed at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in April 2026. I enjoy writing small stories with big themes and, like my character in EMU, I try not to be too Earth centric.

My Plays

Goldfish

Synopsis:

Goldfish is a monologue about ambition, validation and the lengths artists will go to for success. Sarah, an aspiring playwright, has finally achieved her dream — having a play accepted by a London theatre. But it comes at a price and, as she performs her play, she begins to question her decisions. Blurring confession and fantasy, Goldfish builds to a strange and chilling climax as Sarah questions whether the heavy price she has paid was really worth it.
