Synopsis:
The Ballad Of Hedra Blight is a folk horror play set in the haunted land of South West Cornwall in 1947. It blends traditional folk music and original song to tell a powerful story about heritage, faith and the balance we must keep with the land we call home. It highlights the implicit horrors of Capitalism, as corporations knowingly put lives at risk in pursuit of profit, and tells a regional story with urgent political relevance. It challenges the audience to rethink how the systems we put our faith in seek to divorce us from ourselves and from each other.
