About Me: I am an East Midlands based Playwright researcher who is interested in using playwriting to explore and represent lived experiences in a careful and compassionate way. My latest play, Critical Care explores the lived experiences of women who worked as ICU nurses during the pandemic. It has had an ACE funded R&D and has undergone lots of development, and I am currently exploring ways to put the play on. I am particularly drawn to exploring how we value, enact and receive care for each other, ourselves and in society more widely.

On an old mantlepiece, a clock, an ashtray and a forgotten picture reminisce on better, less dusty, days. The clock barely works, the ashtray unused, and the person in the picture almost forgotten. When the house is sold and no one remembers who she is- what will remain of them? Will they just become another object?
