Launched in 2014, the annual Resident Playwright position is a free, open-entry opportunity for early-stage playwrights to receive a seed commission and develop a new play with extensive dramaturgy and input from Papatango. We aim to take the play through to production/publication, in line with our commitment to championing new talent regardless of means or connections. Plays by previous Residents have won an Alfred Fagon Award, been adapted for BBC radio, and toured nationwide. Join our mailing list to hear when the Residency is next open for applications.
