Sam Grabiner is the 2016 Papatango Resident Playwright, having been shortlisted for the 2015 Papatango New Writing Prize aged only 20. Sam is a really exciting young talent, and he will develop a new full-length play with us this year as well as take part in programming meetings and workshops.
Sam is from London and is currently reading English at university. He trained in clown with Philippe Gaulier, is a graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers’ Programme, and won the 2014 Footlights Harry Porter Prize.
He has had short plays staged at Southwark Playhouse and Cockpit Theatre, and also writes and performs comedy with his sketch group ‘Pelican’, most recently at the 2015 Edinburgh Festival.
